**Principal’s Message**
Welcome to the web site for Gatestone Elementary School. The purpose of this site is to provide useful and timely information regarding the initiatives, programs, processes and procedures at our school. It also provides our school calendar as a reference for parents, as well as information about upcoming events such as those involving the responsibilities of the School Council, our school athletic council (GAC) or in regard to specific grade level activities such as class trips. School contact information is also on the site for the school community to address any questions or concerns related to these items. Please be sure to check the web site frequently in order to keep abreast of what is
new from week to week.
In what is now our fourth year, we continue to be very excited about the opportunity to provide a vehicle for our school community to be informed about our school and to expand our access to parental input. We need to remember that Gatestone Elementary School is a community school. It is important that we continue to promote our team spirit through the flow of information between us, so that ultimately our school will be the best environment for student learning to take place. It is terrific to be continuing our journey together!

TOONIE TUESDAY
Here is a great way to give your child a healthy snack! Kernals Popcorn is available during nutrition break 1 on Tuesdays every week at Gatestone School.
Students who purchase popcorn in February will have their name entered in a draw to see the movie CORALINE. 
Also Coming Soon!
Fruit smoothies tetra pack (200ml) with smaller bag of popcorn will be on sale for $2.00.
